High Density: India Area: 3 287 263 km2 Population; 1 134 403 000 Urban cities in India are densely populated. High population density means that many farms are too small to allow rural families to achieve a decent standard of living.

Moderate Density: Egypt Area: 1 000 250 km2 Population 72 850 000 Deserts cover large areas of Egypt, so the population is not evenly distributed Instead it is concentrated in the valley and the delta of the Nile River

Low Density: Australia Area: 7 682 300 km2 Population: 20 310 000 Most of the north is tropical rain forest where few people live
