Project Background Replace traditional electromagnetic-based pick ups with photo-electronic one Create aftermarket photo-electronic pickup for acoustic guitar Objectives: – Detection of fundamental tones – Ability to switch between digital and analog processing paths – Maintain original structure and functionality of the guitar

Test Plan – Iterative Mechanical: Finalize a functional adjustable harness system for processors and sensors Analog: Simulate final values; document experimental waveform outputs; compare to simulated and digital Digital: Document waveform outputs; compare to analog Misc. Electrical: Design and order PCB’s, assemble, employ guitarist to test both data paths through electric amplifier
