2.  Raphael’s full name is Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino. He was born March 28 or April 6 of 1483 and died on April 6, 1520 at age 37. He is an italian renassaince painter and architect. 3.  The Transfiguration - Raphael (1520) This is one of Raphael’s later paintings. It depicts Jesus Rising to heaven, with people shocked and amazed at him.
