1 A guide for WTPS staff

2 Overview This document will show you how to link your Remind and Twitter feeds with your Schoolwires website. Post ONCE to either service using your phone/tablet/computer, and it automatically shows up on your teacher web page! This reduces the time and effort needed to post information for students and parents in multiple locations. A few MINUTES now can save you HOURS later! Enjoy!

3 Embedding Remind (Embedding Twitter starts on slide 18)

4 Log into your Schoolwires account

5 Use the same login as your district e-mail

6 Click “site manager” at the top menu. This will open a new window separate from your internet browser.

7 Click “New Page”

8 Scroll down and choose “Embed Code”

9 Title your page (e.g. Remind Feed) and click Save.

10 Your new page will be at the bottom of your current list. Click to open it.

11 You will need a code from Remind’s website to paste into this box. Leave this window open and go back to your internet browser.

12 Open a new tab, navigate to www.Remind.com, and sign in!www.Remind.com

13 In the upper right corner, click the silhouette icon and choose “widgets”

14 Choose which class you want to embed on your website. You can also choose “All Classes” if you want all to be displayed in one feed. Click the blue “Copy code” button.

15 Go back to the Schoolwires site manager window that you left open before. Paste the code into the window, and click Save.

16 You’re finished!! To make sure it worked, go back to your browser and view the new page on your website as normal. You can also view your website within site manager by clicking here:

27 Open a new tab, navigate to www.twitter.com, and Log into your account. www.twitter.com

28 Click your profile picture in the upper right corner, and choose “Settings”

29 First click “Widgets” near the bottom left, then click “Create New” in the center near the top.

30 Click “Create Widget”

31 Time to copy the code! 1.Right click in the window of text and choose “Select all” 2.Right click again and choose “Copy”

32 Go back to the Schoolwires site manager window that you left open before. Paste the code into the window, and click Save.

33 You’re finished!! To make sure it worked, go back to your browser and view the new page on your website as normal. You can also view your website within site manager by clicking here:

34 What you should see…
