 The family of 5 once lived in the state of Iowa. The parents of Lynn, Katie, and Sam both owned a small Oriental foods grocery store. Unfortunately, there was hardly any Oriental people in Iowa. A couple of years later their business closed because the parents weren't making enough money. Uncle Katshuisa worked at a hatchery in the state of Georgia and told them he would move the family to Georgia., and the parents can work at the hatchery. Once the parents got the job they were hardly ever home, hardly got any sleep, and hardly spoke to the kids, because they were exhausted and went straight to bed.

 Family of four lived in Iowa. The parents of Lynn and Katie owned a small Oriental shop. They weren’t doing so well because there wasn’t a lot of Oriental people in Iowa, so eventually the business closed down. Uncle Katshuisa told the parents he could get them a job in Georgia at a hatchery he worked at. Lynn, Katie, and the two parents all move two Georgia. The two parents get a job at the hatchery. The mom has a little baby boy named Sam. Soon after Sam is born, Lynn feels a little sick. One day the three kids buy a house with the money they saved up. Shortly after they move into the new house, Lynn, Katie and Sam go on a picnic. Sam is running around he gets his foot caught in a trap and is then rushed to the hospital. Lynn finds out she has a deadly disease called Lymphoma.

 The 1 st person point of view is the author, chose Katie to be the narrator in the book. If Katie had not been the narrator the book would not have been so detailed as in being very poor, and eating the same thing every night.

 This picture symbolizes the book because it shows poverty because sometimes what they get is never enough for them

 I think it is worth reading because I feel it is a really good book and what happens in the book can happen to any one in real life
