A healthy diet is the diet that keeps the body in balance, or homeostasis.

To prevent chronic diseases, such as obesity, heart disease, diabetes or cancer, according to the data given in Proceedings of the World Health Organization requires that consumed foods contain a balanced amount of nutrients sufficient water, but also fruits and vegetables.

Healthy nutrition requires a balanced intake of essential nutrients (proteins, carbohydrates and fats), additional nutrients (vitamins, trace elements and fiber) and sufficient water as to avoid the intoxication of the organism excessive consumption of certain substances.
