4. This year your teachers in the 4 core areas of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies plus World Languages will be making the recommendations for your next course in IC. What this means is you should talk to your teacher about what you would like to take next year prior to coming to the computer lab. The teacher should tell you whether that is appropriate for you. When you go to the computer lab to enter your requests, the teachers recommendations will already be there. You will not be able to change them. The teacher recommendations only apply to the required courses. Elective classes will be available for you to request when you come to the computer lab with your English class.

7. Your math teacher knows what is appropriate for your next math course The math teachers will be making requests in IC for appropriate placement for next year. The only opportunities to double up on required math courses are to take both Geometry and Algebra II. AP Statistics may be taken concurrently with any math course after Algebra II. If you sign up for AP Calculus BC, you must also sign up for AP Calculus AB. Must have a minimum of 1 math course each year.

LINK CREW – Open to current 10 th -11 th grade students; application required – Work with incoming 9 th grade students to help them transition to high school life – 1 credit elective class – If selected, you will help plan and run the freshmen orientation this summer, plan and deliver lessons during the year to freshmen, be a leader and friend to a group of about 10 freshmen. – See Ms. Sandor (rm. 116) or Ms. Hunt (rm. 108) for application – If you are interested in being a Link Leader write Link Crew in one spot of your scheduling card. If you are not selected we will replace it with one of your alternate choices.
