6 TOP SMB BUSINESS ISSUES, PRIORITIES AND IT CHALLENGES
Top IT Priorities for 2015 Mobility Solutions Secure LAN/Wireless LAN and APs Collaboration IP Telephony, OpenTouch, Multi- media and Devices Top IT Priorities for 2015 Mobility Solutions Secure LAN/Wireless LAN and APs Collaboration IP Telephony, OpenTouch, Multi- media and Devices IoT & Converged Infrastructure Single Vendor Voice/Data/Wi-Fi solution Tested and Validated Top IT Priorities for 2015 Mobility Solutions Secure LAN/Wireless LAN and APs OS6350 P P If we take a look at the top SMB business issues, IT priorities and IT challenges for 2015, you see that Mobility, Collaboration, Internet of Things (IoT) and Converged Infrastructure, are in the top ten. Mobility and ac Mobile devices have grown in complexity, with new capabilities and features driving up their use of more sophisticated applications. Since most of these devices are Wi-Fi enabled, the new gigabit Wi-Fi technology ac will see rapid adoption by businesses that are under constant pressure to deliver a fast, secure, and feature-rich Internet experience to all of their customers and employees. Collaboration IP telephony, OpenTouch, multi-media and new devices available today ensure communication and collaboration in the office and on the go, as long as you have a Wi-Fi or phone signal. This personalizes the communication experience between SMBs and their customers which provides better service and in turn leads to increased sales. IoT and Converged Infrastructure The SMB market is experiencing a hardware upgrade cycle that is essential if these businesses are to take full advantage of advanced software, new applications, and an increasing number of networked devices as the Internet of Things (IoT) phenomenon continues to take shape. A hardware refresh provides SMBs with an opportunity to leverage these new products to increase productivity and reduce costs; it also provides revenue opportunities for IT solution providers like ICON and your Resellers. 7 global smb IT market spend projection
Target Market of employees ~25% of the total market $250 Billion Global SMB IT Spend Estimate for 20 to 100 Users Source: Estimated from Gartner projections So how big is the SMB market? According to Gartner, the SMB market represents 44% of the total IT spend worldwide which is projected to reach one trillion-dollars in 2015. If we look at the SMB market segment that ALE is targeting, users, the approximate IT spend this year will be $250 Billion. This does account for all IT expenditures, like equipment, cabling, services, etc., but demonstrates that this is a huge market with plenty of room for ALE to compete in. Source: SMB Group estimates, U.S. Census Bureau data, and World Bank estimates According to Gartner, the SMB market represents 44% of the total IT spend worldwide. In 2015, the SMB market is projected to cross the trillion-dollar mark in IT spend.

8 Global smb growth opportunities projection by region
North America Western Europe Latin America Asia/Pacific 8% 5% If we look at SMB growth opportunities on a global, regional basis, you’ll note good opportunities in all regions, particularly in CALA and APAC with double digit growth projected. 11% 12% Source: Techaisle SMB Global IT Spending report, 2015

9 Global smb pbx/ip telephony market Worldwide market growth
+10% CAGR We can’t forget about the voice/telephony market when we talk about SMB’s. The worldwide IP PBX market has been growing at a CAGR above 10% for a number of years and is expected to continue at this pace through 2018. Why is this important? You’ll note that IP extensions are quickly replacing TDM extensions in the SMB market. This means IP telephony is quickly taking over from traditional TDM based technology. It also means that IP telephones need a data network to be connected to and that’s where the OS6350 comes in. Source: MZA 2013

10 DRIVE CROSS–SELLING GROWTH WITH OUR PARTNERS 2015 us smb market study
Source: Hanover Research 2015 Survey conducted among 427 capital equipment purchase decision makers or influencers at businesses with employees in the U.S. across 22 vertical industries. US SMB Market Study 2015 SMB IT Spending Priorities 36% Likely to evaluate a new phone system Hanover Research 2015 21% Upgrade wireless infrastructure Wasp Barcode Technologies 2015 43% SMB owners use a smartphone as the primary device to run their business Intuit 2015 A recent SMB IT market study was conducted in the US. This study revealed that 36% of SMBs are likely to evaluate a new phone system in 2015, while 21% are planning on upgrading their wireless infrastructure. And if you note that more than a third of SMBs use 5 or more mobile apps to run their business, it is critical to ensure that they have the performance to support those business apps. SMBs will also upgrade their wireless infrastructure to new technology which provides better range, coverage and performance. This usually includes upgrading their LAN infrastructure to support the higher speeds. The conclusion is that this is the perfect time and opportunity to position an ALE voice/data/wi-fi solution for SMBs.

16 When to use the OS6350 vs. the os6250 or os6450 ideal scenarios
Product SMB Mid-Large Enterprise OS6350 Yes (ideal price/performance with OXO, IP phones and high-speed IAPs). Not recommended (does not support UA features, stacking, RPS/EPS, 10Gig uplinks). OS6250 Not recommended (does not support high-speed IAPs such as n or ac). Yes as access switch for older gen Wi-Fi access ( a/b/g only), IP telephony and low-speed requirements, as well as Metro-Ethernet use cases. OS6450 Yes (for high-end SMB requirements needing Unified Access and 10 Gig uplinks plus high-speed IAP support). Yes as access switch for next gen Wi-Fi access and limited high-speed requirements including Metro-Ethernet use cases. This chart helps you position the OS6350 vs. the OS6250 and OS6450 products.

18 Smb – os6350 sweet spot Network MOBILITY + IP TELEPHONY SOLUTION
Internet OmniAccess Instant Access Points (IAP) Customer Router (e.g. OmniAccess ESR) (With DHCP service enabled) Higher performance than OS6250 is required for next gen Wi-Fi e.g n and ac Lower price than OS6450 for more competitive SMB solution Don’t need advanced enterprise features such as UA technology Stacking is not needed for users 10 Gig uplinks not required (up to 4 x 1 Gig uplinks are more than sufficient) PSTN OmniPCX Office (RCE) OmniSwitch 6350 (P24/P48) This network diagram is an example of a typical SMB office or branch office. The OS6350 can connect all of your communication systems, including IP switch (OXO), IP phones, WLAN AP’s (OAW IAP’s), and even more common network equipment such as desktop PC’s, printers, etc. You’ll note that the OmniAccess ESR can be used to connect the SMB/branch office to the Internet or you can use the existing customer router for this purpose. The OS6350 provides higher performance than OS6250, which is required for next gen Wi-Fi e.g n and ac It offers a lower price than OS6450 for a more competitive SMB solution And you don’t need advanced features such as UA technology Stacking isn’t needed for users and 10 Gig uplinks are not required since you get up to 4 x 1 Gig uplinks with the OS6350. This office is now equipped to provide a Mobility Solution, Collaboration and a Converged Infrastructure, which are part of the SMB top ten IT priorities for 2015.
