30 July 2004USM 2004 Upper Pearl Survey HSS: Major Sections Append 4: Geodetic Data –Data referred to NAD83 (equivalent to WGS84 for charting) –Landmarks referenced to NAVD88 –PPK positioning (Order 1 accuracy) Append 8: Specific Charting Info. Requirements –All soundings, ATONS, and shoreline features will be delineated to Order 1 standards –All Landmarks within visual site of the river will be positioned –All Aids to Navigation will be located and described –Report discrepancies for Aids to Navigation to the local U.S. Coast Guard District (District 8)

30 July 2004USM 2004 Upper Pearl Survey HSS: Major Sections Append 9: Oceanography –Sound Speed CTD casts will be taken 3 X daily aboard the Bertram SVP casts will be taken 3 X daily aboard the Skiff SVP corrections will be applied onboard for Bertram and within CARIS for the skiff –Multibeam 10 % overlap required –Single-beam 25 m line spacing for development lines and 250m line spacing for cross-check lines –Ancillary data: Secchi and bottom grab data will be collected daily
