Common Core Curriculum Standards adopted by Mississippi and 45 other states Rigorous standards taking content to a much greater depth of understanding and often introducing content much earlier than we currently do

I. Help teachers to Understand the standards and the depth of understanding that the standards call for ▪ What do they really say? ▪ Provide teachers with content professional development when needed ▪ Pilot units to practice and revise

Learn how to write appropriate assessments Use NAEP as guide Pilot assessment procedures as they are developed (PARCC)
