1. MUSICAL FUTURES A new way of learning Music.

2. What is Musical Futures?  Musical futures is a way of music teaching which allows you to personalise your learning, so that you are covering styles of music which interest you and having a go at instruments that you’ve always wanted to try.

3. How does it work?  When you come to a Musical Futures session you might come with friends, but if not we will find you a group to join. Within that group everyone will need to take part of a band member—vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards or drums.

4. Formal Learning  You will be given a cue sheet similar to the one on the next page, with plenty of visual and hands on help about how to play your instrument. The key to a successful performance is to use the recording of the original song to help you learn your part.

5. Informal Learning  This is for the more advanced groups, where you take simply a recording of the track you want to reproduce and recreate your performance by listening to the track and copying the parts.

6. What will you use?  We have the following equipment ready for your use:  Jam Hub silent rehearsal packs  Bass guitars  Electric guitars  Drum kits  Synthesisers  Shure Microphones
