Definition of soil pollution The build-up in soils of: 1. persistent toxic compounds 2. chemicals 3. salts 4. radioactive materials 5. disease causing agents

Causes Chemical Substances ( pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers) Soil Erosion Salty Water Radioactive materials

Effects… Death of fish, plants, and other aquatic things. Polluted soil may : 1. Pass the pollutants in to the consumers ( by crops) 2. No longer grow crops 3. Release vapors and hydrocarbons into buildings

Pictures A wrong way of creating a landfill. Let’s save our environment because it is never too late.
