Store personal belongings in the back room. School rules apply to media assistant class Food, drinks, and chewing gum are “off limits” in the media center. You must get a librarian’s permission and a hall pass to leave the library for personal or media assistant duties.
14
Media assistants can check students out to return to their assigned classroom only. Students signed into the library who request to go to another location will need permission from a librarian to leave the media center. Media assistants must check a student’s pass when he/she enters the media center. If they have no pass, they must return to class! Ask questions when in doubt; librarians prefer the work and procedures be done properly.
15
Refer misunderstandings &/or problems to a librarian. When on computers, students are not allowed to use Facebook, YouTube, MySpace, etc. No one is allowed to play games on the computers—this includes our assistants. All students must have a signed Acceptable User Agreement Policy (AUP) form signed in order to use computers in our media center!

We look forward to having a great semester with you. Remember anything is possible @ your library!
