1 Welcome to the First Lego League Robotics Competition Team Informational Meeting

2 What is First Lego League? FLL is an exciting international robotics program for students up to 14 years old that ignites an enthusiasm for discovery, science and technology.

3 What do students do in the competition? 1)The team designs and programs one autonomous robot that can get as many points as possible on a given obstacle course in 2.5 minutes. World Class challenge 2014 2015 “Trash Trek” details to be released on August 25 th @ 12pm

6 What do students do in the competition? 2)Create a solution to a given problem based on research that solves a given problem. This involves creating a product and marketing it. Last years problem: Choose a topic that you are passionate about or always wanted to learn. Create an innovative solution that improves the learning experience. Share your solution with others. Delta Squad’s Topic: How to better teach art to 5-7 year olds art. Solution: Designed an APP and designed & 3-D printed a stylus for 5-7 year olds. Students created a website to share with others.

7 What do students do in the competition? 3) Show core values in all that you do. Don’t be surprised if our team building and core values in FLL filter into your students’ lives in a positive way!

9 Who will be selected? Students who really want to be a part of the team can commit to practice & tournaments have qualities the team needs are in good behavior standing with the school enjoy working with a team Robotics experience is a plus!
