2. Announcements Battle of the Books Are you interested in reading some awesome books and competing against other schools over who knows the books best? If you are, join Battle of the Books. 3. Announcements Call for Candidates for the Student Counsel Association (SCA) SCA will be holding elections on October 17 th during all lunches. Sixth and Seventh grade students may run for Delegate. Eighth grade students may run for President, Vice President, Secretary, and Delegate. Those eighth grade students running for President, Vice President, and Secretary need to submit a paragraph detailing why they would like to hold the office. Delegates only need to sign up at the front office. The deadline to sign-up is October 9 th.

6. Announcements Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology is offering an informational meeting at Benton Middle School on October 8 th at 6:30 PM. Come and learn all about TJHSST, it’s program, classes offered and student life!

7. Announcements Yearbook Club Yearbook Club will hold its first meeting on Monday, October 7 at 3:15 in room 824. Mrs. Drake is looking for at least 12 students who are creative and want to be a part of making the 2013-2014 Parkside Yearbook. Sky’s the limit so let your creativity soar.

Meetings will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays starting on the 9 th of October. Space is limited, and all applications are due by 3 pm on October 4 th see you then !"
