European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC) Villafranca del Castillo, MADRID (SPAIN) Isa Barbarisi VOSpec, new functionalities Madrid, 6-7Oct 2005 Goal: unify Real and Theoretical spectra in a common access protocol, as they share many properties Main differences between both kind of spectra are the following: Models have specific input parameters Theoretical spectra are not normalized Solution : connecting to the &format=METADATA, parsing the output VOTable and creating on-the-fly a java formulary inside VOSpec application. This solution has been developed in a SVO/ESA-VO collaboration The user will be able to rescale the theoretical spectra using real spectral data for the object to be studied Theoretical Spectra Access in VOSpec
