“Synoptic” Gospels: Matthew, Mark & Luke Some sort of dependence Each combines & paraphrases Ex 23:20 & Mal 3:1 in the same way. Mat 11:10 “Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way [before You].” Ex 23:20 “Behold, I send an angel before [your face] to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.” Mal 3:1 “Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me.”
