20. TASK Weather and climate are the forces of nature that dictate where and how people live. The weather influences what we wear, what we do, how we do it and where we go. Very often the weather even influences how we feel! Sometimes extreme weather events happen. Usually people are endangered or even killed during these extreme weather events. Sometimes these events can be predicted, and people are prepared for them, but more often they are not! Task: Choose an extreme weather event and design an information pamphlet or web-page giving young people relevant information, strategies and tips on how to keep safe and survive such an event © Calliope V Kennedy 2013
