Holding Graz Services The business field Holding Graz Services comprises the divisions “water services” (drinking water supply and waste water disposal), “waste management” and “public space” (street & green space maintenance). Its remit extends to 1.320 kilometer water pipe network, 846 kilometer channel network, 950 km streets, paths and places, 2.350.000 m² park- and recreation areas as well as 34.000 properties and public garbage collections. We are the fourth largest water supply company in Austria. Our water supplied area is about 110 km².

Water procurement Graz draws its water exclusively from the groundwater of the quaternary gravels in the River Mur Valley. Graz has a water demand of about 19 million cubic meters per year. To be able to meet these requirements there are 3 waterwork facilities: Friesach, about 12 km north of Graz Andritz Waterworks St. Ilgen, the central water supply called Hochschwab Süd GmbH (ZWHS), 60 km north of Graz For emergencies and accidents there are the waterworks of Feldkirchen as well as the water board Umland Graz available.
