Non-binary Genders

Non-binary gender Non-binary gender is an umbrella term covering any gender identity or expression that does not fit within the gender binary. The label may also be used by individuals wishing to identify as falling outside of the gender binary without being any more specific about the nature of their gender.

Genderqueer Genderqueer, also called GenderQueer, gender queer, is an umbrella term covering non-normative gender identity and gender expression.

Third Gender The concept that individuals are categorized as neither man nor woman. (Does not have its own flag)

Trans* / Transgender 1: A person whose self-identity does not conform unambiguously to conventional notions of male or female gender. 2: A person whose gender identity does not correspond to that person's biological sex assigned at birth

Demiboy/Demiguy Someone who only partially (not wholly) identifies as a boy or man.

Demigirl/Demigal Someone who only partially (not wholly) identifies as a girl or woman

bigender Bigender individuals have two gender identities either simultaneously, at different times or in different situations. These genders could be the two binary genders, man and woman, but they may also include other non-binary identities, for example agender and femme.

Pangender People are those who feel they identify as all genders.

GenderFluid Genderfluid individuals have different gender identities at different times. A genderfluid individual's gender identity could be multiple genders at once, and then switch to none at all, or move between single gender identities

Intergender Midway between male and female.

Agender Agender individuals find that they have no gender identity, although some define this more as having a gender identity that is neutral. There is little consensus over the difference between terms such as agender, genderless, non-gender, gender neutral, and neutrois. These terms are often used interchangeably or defined differently by individual writers in ways that do not necessarily match the self definitions of others using those terms.

Androgyne Androgyne individuals have a gender identity and/or gender expression that can be a blend of both or neither of the binary genders. They may describe this in terms of being between female and male, between man and woman, between masculine and feminine or simply 'in between.' They can also identify as neither feminine or masculine, or neither female and male
