Writing Fractions as Decimals Write each fractions as a decimal. Round to the nearest hundredth, if necessary. To convert a fraction to a decimal, divide the numerator by the denominator:

Sports Application During a football game, Albert completed 23 out of the 27 passes he attempted. Find his completion rate to the nearest thousandth. Using long division or a calculator: 23 ÷ 27 = 0.8518518….. Rounded to nearest thousandth his completion rate is 0.852
