Course Goal, Scope, and Target Audience

GOAL: To enable the student to identify and analyze health and safety aspects that affect emergency Responder Safety in Both Emergency and non-emergency situations

SCOPE: The Health and Safety Officer's role in policy and procedure issues that affect the health and safety of emergency responders. Risk analysis, wellness, program management, and other occupational safety issues are the main emphasis of the course.

AUDIENCE: All individuals and especially management level personnel who have department level health and safety responsibilities (such as planning and implementation) and organizational representatives having active involvement in such activities.
