In 2006 and 2007, many states adopted the ARRT limited medical x-ray curriculum; therefore, CATS Careers incorporated the ARRT guided curriculum into the CATS Chiropractic Technology Certification Program and Limited Medical Radiography Program. 10/18/201517

In June 2006, Indiana adopted the ARRT curriculum and testing requirements for limited scope applicants. In 2007, the Indiana law went into effect which took away the ability for chiropractors to train their own employees. 10/18/201518

In June 2007, ARRT adopted a new policy which will require limited scope applicants retest every 10 years beginning in 2011. 10/18/201519

In August 2009, ARRT adopted a new policy which will require limited scope applicants to have an associate degree or higher prior to applying for the ARRT limited scope exam, which will take effect in 2015. This will completely eliminate chiropractic x-ray technologists as less than 2% of chiropractic assistants/technologists have an associate’s degree. 10/18/201520

Due to the associate degree requirement for licensure, many schools have decided to discontinue their limited scope x-ray programs, which will include programs in Indiana. Currently there are only two schools in Indiana that offer Chiropractic LMR Programs. 10/18/201521
