2 Introduction IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) You have to take English, Math and Computer studies You can then choose 3 more subjects from the following: sciences(biology, physics, chemistry), humanities ( geography, history),languages arts and technology (art, drama, music, ICT), mathematics

3 About the ICT exam The two assessment objectives in ICT are: AO1 Practical skills candidates should be able to demonstrate their ability to use a range of software packages in practical and work- related contexts. AO2 Knowledge and understanding Candidates should be able to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the structure of ICT systems, the roles of these systems in organizations and their impact on society.

4 Papers 3 papers Paper 1: 2 hours All questions required: mostly multiple choice or short answer questions, but also some requiring 40% of your grade 100 marks available Paper 2: 2.5 hours Practical test evaluate knowledge, skills and understanding of sections 9–16 of the syllabus material 30% of your grade 80 marks available Paper 3: 2.5 hours Practical test evaluate knowledge, skills and understanding of sections 9–16 of the syllabus material 30% of your grade 80 marks available
