Through College and Career Awareness, you will participate in activity-centered lessons to utilize technology, develop foundational skills, and explore careers by expanding awareness. College and Career Awareness provides information regarding future classes and training related to your career field of interest. College & Career Awareness helps you explore your interests in relationship to your future lives and work roles.

3. What Is College & Career Awareness? Technological advances and global competition have changed the nature of work. Jobs today require increased levels of knowledge and advanced technical skills. Learning is a lifelong process, and you need to be prepared with 21st Century Skills for the future. College and Career Awareness will enhances your appreciation for the knowledge and skills you will need for ongoing success in college, careers, and life.

4. What Is College & Career Awareness? Technology is expected to continue to have an effect on items we use every day. Therefore, it is critical to be able to adjust to the evolving technical world.  Can you imagine not being able to record your favorite television show because you don’t know how to program a DVR?  Can you imagine not being able to call or text a friend because you don’t know how to use a cell phone?  Can you imagine not being able to listen to your favorite music because you don’t know how to download music to your iPod?  Can you imagine not being able to use the Internet to research a subject because you don’t know how to use a computer?
