Percentage A percentage is a number over a hundred such as 50% & 100%. This is a percentage sign. %. The percentage sign is made up with three basic numbers: two zeros & a slanted one. This is a fraction for a percentage: 50/100. The best way to remember percentages is to remember what numbers make it up.
16
Mostly, people use percentages to see how well something is going on or whatever.

Scary Division
21
Problem one: You have 13 OLG shortbreads to share fairly with your friend TukTuk (the towel). How can you divide the fairly? You TukTuk
22
You TukTuk Solution: 6 for you, and 6 for TukTuk, for the remainder split into half and ½ to you and ½ for TukTuk.
23
Toothpick trick You start out with 12 toothpicks into 3 boxes, then turn it into to a 5 square shape moving 3 toothpicks only.
24
Miserable Toads A group of toads were planning to set a record and build the biggest amphibian pyramid in history.
25
How many days? Problem: Froggie fell into an ten foot well. He climbs up 3 feet during the day, and slips 2 feet down during the night.
27
Well, that wasn’t so scary.
28
Mixed-Up Problems
29
The ball is dropped from a 128 foot building. Each time it bounces half as much high as where it was dropped. How much will the ball bounce on the fourth bounce?
30
128 ft. 64 ft. 32 ft. 16 ft. 8 ft.

32
Prime and Composite
33
Composite numbers are number s that can be made by using a variety of numbers by multiplying. Prime is a number that can only be made by multiplying itself and one.

How to make Mixed Numbers
43
Example: You have two squares with four mini-squares in each. One of them is fully colored in. the other has only one mini-square covered up. That’s the Mixed number 1 1 4

56
The next scenes show someone doing an algebra puzzle. You solve the puzzle by figuring out which shape is what number by dividing the number on the corner with the shape.
58
I highlighted the column I’m working on.
59
18 divided by 3 is 6
60
I highlighted the row I’m working on.

There was once a point land where everyone was happy about being a point… except one point. I hate being a point!!!
79
There was once a point.

82
That turned into an angle.
83
That turned into a triangle.
84
That turned into a square.
85

103
That turned into a icosagon.
104
That turned into a icosagon. And then he exploded because he had too many sides and angles. And he was a point again.

Money Fractions
108
25 cents = ¼ = 25/100 50 cents = ½ = 50/100 5 cents = 1/20 = 5/100 1 cent = 1/100 100 cents = 1 = 1/1 10 cents = 1/10 = 10/100
109
Average
110
How to do Average
111
Start with 3 numbers like 4, 5, 7
112
Then add them up.
113
4 + 5 +7 = 16
114
16 – 3 = 13 So 13 is your average.
