Our speaker September 17, Dr. Roy Goldteyn, spoke of his research into buffalo beans at the University of Lethbridge. Experiments show compounds extracted from buffalo bean leaves have potential to fight a class of cancers that includes multiple myeloma.

The Los Amigos team delivered toys, toothbrushes and tooth paste to Pepesan’s wife Lorena. She in turn made arrangements through Rotary in Mazatlan to distribute these items to elementary and kindergarten schools. Lorena reports that children, teachers, principals and mothers were excited to receive our donations! Lorena says… “Thanks to you and your team for giving happiness to these children.”

We have a wonderful opportunity to meet Drew Cahoon and two Ugandan dentists on October 1, 2015. We need two people or families who will each host a dentist for two nights, 29 & 30 September 2015. Rotarian Code of Conduct The following code of conduct has been adopted for the use of Rotarians: AS A ROTARIAN I WILL Act with integrity and high ethical standards in my personal and professional life. Deal fairly with others and treat them and their occupations with respect. Use my professional skills through Rotary to mentor young people, help those with special needs and improve people’s quality of life in my community and in the world. Avoid behavior that reflects adversely on Rotary and other Rotarians.
