4 Overview This course aims to expose students to: basic concepts of microwave communication networks microwave device characteristics. importance and applications of microwave communication systems. design of microwave filters and amplifiers

5 Course Outcomes 1. Ability to define and describe the basic concepts of microwave communication network parameters and importance of microwave communication systems. 2. Ability to derive and validate experimentally the principles of wave propagation, reflection and standing waves 3. Ability to analyze microwave device characteristics using appropriate software tools 4. Ability to design filters, mixers and amplifiers to meet specified performance criteria at microwave frequencies
