Add captions if you like (make sure to spell check) in the Caption field. You can change the Title name if it helps you to remember something about the photo. (only you will see the Title name) and DO NOT add periods in the Captions Remember to Center the Summary Photo. Ignore
16
Inserting Photos Into The Article Now decide where you want the photos to appear in the article by copying the ***image number*** and pasting it into the Content box in the desired location Note that there are no extra spaces between the end of the paragraph and the photo tag and the start of the next paragraph for centered photos.
17
Adding Formatting & Full Screen You can add formatting: Bold Bold Italics Italics Color Text Color Text Underline Underline Bullets & Numbers Bullets & Numbers Etc. Etc. DO NOT change the Font Name or Size! DO NOT change the Font Name or Size! You can view the text in full screen by clicking on the Full Screen icon
18
Adding Links You create Hyperlinks by highlighting a word that will become the Hyperlink e.g. Click Here Choosing the Hyperlink (chain) icon Pasting in the URL including the http:// that will take the reader to the desired web page Clicking on insert Then click ok The highlighted word will now be blue and be a link to the website you inserted.
19
TIP: Sometimes a photo will cover the text below it. To fix this, you need to add hard returns after the photo insertion that is covering the text. The amount of returns needed to drop the next paragraph so it is not covered by the photo will vary and are a trial and error effort. i.e. go to the last photo that looks OK and attempt to see the text that is mostly covered by that photo, add hard returns (by hitting enter) as many times as necessary to move the text down below the photo. This is an example:

Centering Photos Misc. By the way, If you want to use the :center (***image#***) placement, the photo will always be in the center without any text to its left or right. To have the photo be in the perfect center of the page, from left to right, you need to add captions to the photo or if you do not add captions, you will need to add spaces to the left of the photo insertion, the amount of spaces varies based on how large the photo is, if the photo is 400 pixels wide you will probably need to add no spaces, if it is 350 wide maybe 10 or so. With practice, you will get the hang of how many spaces will place the photo in the center.
22
SUMMARY IMAGE: Now upload your Summary Photo Must Be 100 Pixels Wide (physical size wise) and Must Be Less Than 3KB (3,000 Bytes) (file size wise). The summary image MUST be Centered! To insert this file, scroll down to the bottom screen highlight the ***image#*** that belongs to the Summary Image and paste it into the Summary Image field Remember the Summary Image must be repeated full size in the actual article.
23
DON’T PUT IN MORE THAN THE 25 WORDS OR IT WILL TAKE UP TOO MUCH SPACE AND OVERPOWER THE SUMMARY PHOTO. Never put in a period! Summary: This should ideally be an original summary of 3 to 25 or so words geared to peak the readers interest. DON’T PUT IN MORE THAN THE 25 WORDS OR IT WILL TAKE UP TOO MUCH SPACE AND OVERPOWER THE SUMMARY PHOTO. Never put in a period! Don’t give away too much of the article, try to make it a tease. If you cannot write an original summary you may use the first 3 to 25 words of your article, but the information must be the same in the Summary & Content Box. This is a screen shots of the Article Manager page filled out (Top of Page):
24
This is a screen shots of the Article Manager page filled out (Middle of Page): meta keywords Make sure to fill in the meta keywords field. Browse your article for keywords, copy and paste or type those keywords into this space. Insert as many key words as you feel will benefit search engines. Always think as if you were looking for the thing you are writing on: what words would you type into a search engine. Example Example: For this Kelly Nishimoto article I put: LA Fashion Week, Kelly Nishimoto, fall collection, Bohemian, Youthful, Comfortable, Refined, Opulent, Fluid, Timeless, Macon, Georgia, Demi Moore, Gwen Stefani, Anastasia, Natasha Henstridge, Jenna Jameson, Dave Navarro, Sean James, Fred Segal Beauty team, Galliano, Armani, Alaia, Versace, plaid dress, large wooden bauble necklace, fresh face, Olympian Tara Lipinski, Tara Lipinski, SmashBox, Vera Wang, Donna Karan, Alberta Ferretti, Lesa Amoore
