Objective for today Introduction to the new orientation 2013 Programme Structure Respective committees and job scope Brief timeline of Orientation planning Individual preference for committees in Orientation 2013, and availability for the remaining holidays Finalise the theme of the orientation

Job scope 1. Logistics - In charge of all logistics required by programme comm. (for games/ paint for backdrop/ …) - Food handling - Transportation of logistics to location

Job scope 2. Publicity - Design for theme (logos, t-shirt, posters) - Create or liaise with Nucleii (for videos, photohunt, …) - T-shirt printing - Camp packing list/ Idemnity form

Job scope 4. OGL (4 faction heads) - In-charge of OGLs under each faction - Lead faction in cheering - Take charge of points system (if any) - Icebreaking games/ identity making/ Faction flags & banners - Learn mass dance - OG names

Job scope 4. OGLs - Support faction head - Icebreaking games/ cheers/ identity making/ Faction flags & banners - Learn mass dance & school song - OG names - Senior OGLs to lead and guide junior OGLs - Double up as manpower for pre-camp if needed

Job scope 5. Admin - Runner between teachers and relevant comm during orientation - Namelist, camp fees, shirt size, food preference, medical history, time in & out attendance

Timeline of orientation planning Week of 26 Nov (ALL OICs/AICs) Finalise storyline, faction names, point system (PUB) logo design, t-shirt design, colour differentiation for committees/groups/ participants Week of 3 Dec (PROG) Brainstorming for all games. Sectional I/Cs to take charge. Report to LOG (OGL) Finalise OG names/identity/concept, grouping of OGL’s (LOG) Collate logistic demands (PUB) Backdrop design Week of 10 Dec (PROG) Game trials with OGL’s/ mass dance (OGL) OGL training (with game trials)/ Learn mass dance (LOG) Prepare logistics for game trials (PUB) Send shirt design to printer; Introduction video for Sec 1 registration day Week of 17 Dec (ADMIN) Collection of shirt sizes and send to printer (PUB/ LOG/ OGL) Painting of orientation backdrop (PUB) Camping list/ Indemnity form (OGL) Finalise individual OG’s icebreakers, cheers, logistics required for identity making (PROG) Finalise all games after feedback Week of 24 Dec (PROG) Final game trials (OGL) Final OGL training and bonding session/ mass dance practice (LOG) Prepare all logistics required Week of 31 Dec Actual orientation
