Russians express a lack of ownership using a structure “ У + Genitive case + нет + Genitive case” Never use “ не есть ” instead of “ нет ” Examples: У него нет собаки (He does not have a dog) 2. To express nonexistence Russians use нет + Genitive case. Examples: Здесь нет автобуса (There is no bus here) Здесь нет банка (There is no bank here) 3.
