Science Advisory Board Public Session 12 NOAA Happenings Satellite Launches Successful launch of the NOAA-18 polar-orbiting satellite on May 20 from Vandenberg Air Force Base. GOES-N geostationary satellite launch was delayed due to issues with the Boeing launcher, scheduled now for July 28 from Kennedy Space Center. Revised Scope and Schedule of the Climate Change Strategic Plan Synthesis and Assessment Products NOAA has the lead of 7 on the 21 and contributes to 11 others
