2 In brief You will choose three extracts to write about. Two must be poems (by the same poet) and one must be a short extract from a novel or a play. E.g. you could choose two poems by Philip Larkin and one page from Anne Tyler’s ‘Accidental Tourist’.

3 Compare the ways in which X is presented in … Example titles Compare the ways in which betrayal is presented by Plath and Tyler Compare the way fatherhood is presented by Larkin and Tyler. Compare the way in which memory is presented by Frost and Atwood
