Purpose and products  To ensure the care and support workforce has the skills and knowledge to deliver the changes:  An agreed framework (matrix) of learning and development needs  Alignment of existing principles, standards and qualifications frameworks  A comprehensive and quality assured learning and development programme, including a suite of free learning resources  Resources and ‘train the trainer’ style opportunities for learning providers/trainers

We are not looking for consensus, just to hear your ideas

9. Learning and development needs matrix The purpose of the matrix is to identify what learning and development content should be developed and identifies:matrix  The target workforce  Areas for learning and development  Level of new skills and knowledge needed for each job role
