2. Facts  The Challenger was launched on January 28 th 1986  There was 7 people on the mission, Mike Smith, Ron McNair, Ellison Onizuka, Christa McAuliffe, Gregory Jarvis and Dick Scobee.  The Challenger blew up 73.62 seconds after lift off.
