You have to work hard at Level 3 Writing because it’s not easy. Here are some classroom rules. Come on time – 5 minutes grace period. Don’t eat or drink in class (Water OK) Leave the classroom tidy for the next class. Respect everybody. When a student/teacher is speaking in class, listen and don’t talk. Phones off. The Level 3 course Level 3 Course = Integrated + Writing 60% + 40% = 100% To pass Level 3, you need a total of _________% 60 But, if you get between 60-64% at Level 3, you only have about 30% chance of getting IELTS 5. To have a good chance of passing IELTS, your Level 3 grade must be more than 75%

Our purpose To enter Faculty you have to have an IELTS Band Score of 5.0 Our purpose is to prepare you for Faculty To do this, our course is designed to help you prepare for Task 1 and Task 2 of IELTS. Our Information Transfer Tasks 1 and 2 = IELTS Task 1 Our Writing Projects and TW tests = IETS Task 2

IELTS Task 1 Time limit: 20 minutes Word length: 150 words Task Fulfilment: In your own words, you need to describe the information provided in a graph, chart, table or diagram. (There may be more than one of these in a task.) Summarise the information, highlighting the key features and supporting these with information given You should not explain or give an opinion on information.

Our Level 3 Information Transfer Tasks The word count, time and task fulfilment criteria are the same as IELTS Task 1 IT1 – we focus on multi-line graphs and look, briefly, at bar graphs. IT2 – we focus on pie charts

Time limit: 40 minutes Word length: 250 words Task Fulfilment: You have to write a discursive essay. The topic may be in the form of a statement or a question. Sometimes differing or opposing views are expressed; sometimes there is only one view to discuss. You must always state your own position / opinion clear IELTS Task 2
