ASEAN ROK– MENTORING PROGRAM Expertise, mentorship and sharing of information and knowledge in survey methodologies in R&D. Vietnam and Cambodia have benefited from this mentorship program under the ASEAN ROK initiative (2003-2004)

What & Why Knowledge Resource for Science and Technology Excellence, Malaysia It is an information system structure and strategic mechanism for: –Integration of “island of information” through provision of single gateway to S&T knowledge and databases. –Achievement for knowledge management, collaboration, sharing, and learning. –Develop K-workers capability and capacity.

The system is built based on the concept of Federated Distributed Management Structure.

Benefits Federated Distributed Management Structure Internet-based networking and access to remote distributed databases as federates. Capability to pull and push information/data across various knowledge systems while data, information and knowledge in the systems are kept current at source.
