Differences between optimistic, pessimistic, and hostile attribution styles
Optimistic attribution style: The tendency to attribute negative outcomes to external factors coupled with a tendency to attribute positive outcomes to internal factors. Pessimistic attribution style: The tendency to attribute negative outcomes to internal factors coupled with a tendency to attribute positive outcomes to external factors.
