Introduction : Photovoltaic cells, commonly known as solar cells, are semiconductor devices that convert sunlight directly into electricity. Efficiency range from a few percent to above 40%. Low maintenance, long lasting sources of energy Provides cost-effective power supplies for people remote from the main electricity grid. Non-polluting and silent sources of electricity. Renewable and sustainable power, as a means to reduce global warming.
