4. NAVRATRA  Navratra is a hindu festival,which comes in september-october month.It is a festival dedicated to worship of the hindu deity ‘DURGA’.The word navratri literary means nine nighs in sanskrit. During these days nine forms of shakti/devi are worshiped.

6. SIGNIFICANCE  Navratri is celebrated five times a year.they are Vasanta navratri,Ashadha navratri,Sharad navratri and the paush/magha navratri.of these shrad navratri of the month of purtashiand the vasna navratriof vasna kalaare most important.the beginning of spring and autumn are considerd imporant junction of climatic and solaer influnces. The dates are determined according to lunar calander.

10. Food There are many foods of different variety are made in this festival. Some of them are-  Arbi ki kadhi  Chiroji ki dal  Pumpkin halwa  Khire ke pakode  Singhara atta ka samosa

RAMZAN Coming with the new moon,the festival marksthe end of ramdan a monthwhen muslimsfast throught the dayand eat at only night prayers,feasts and family get together are major highlights of the celebrations.on this day Muslims can be seen wearing new clothes.,visiting mosques to attend id prayers.greetings of ‘eid mubark’ are exchanged.

More on Ramzan………  A very important aspect of eid is the charity,which all muslims are expected to extendto needy.earlier this was in form of gifts but now in form of cash is given to needy.the first eid of this year is known as 'eid al fitr’ which literary means breaking the fast.thus it is celebrated on first day of RAMDAN.iramzan is a time for concentrated wowship,reading of Quran,puryifing one’s behaviorand doing virtious deeds.sewayin are made on this day……….

18. …….It is a dy of joy and thanksgiving.on this day muslims showtheir joy for health,strength and oppourtunities of life,which Allah has given them.it is considerdunholyto fast on this day.they were nicest clothes.the muslims who can offered to do so,offer domestic animal usually sheeps,as a symbol of ibrahim’s sacrifice
