9 ELECTRIC SHOCK

10  Do not touch the victim. Switch off appliance. Use a wooden pole or a chair to remove the source of the current away from the victim if in shock. Take victim to hospital.  Do not use faulty electrical appliances (such as broken plug or damaged electric wire)

16 SUN STROCK SUN STROCK  While Awaiting transportation to hospital, Bring Patient indoors, unclothe him & provide bed rest if conscious.  Give Fluids.  Sponge the body freely with cold water.

18 SNAKE BITE

19  Victim should lie absolutely still. Portion above the bite should be bound tightly with a cloth strip or string stopping the flow of blood through artery.  Don’t give alcohol or other stimulants.  Identify the snake, kill it if possible and take it to hospital with the victim.

21 DOG, MONKEY BITE

22  Clean the wound with clean water properly & then with spirit or savlon.  Injection TT to be given proper vaccination to be taken.

23 FOREIGN BODY ON THE EXPOSED PART OF EYE

24  Gently wipe the foreign body out with of cotton wool or with the folded corner of a clean handkerchief.

27  Sit with the head forward over a bowl.  Press firmly on the soft lower sides of the nose to close the nostrils for at least 10 minutes.  An ice bag held over the bridge of the nose also helps while lying on the back.

33 BLEEDING FOR EXTERNAL BLEEDING :-  Lift the bleeding point above the position of heart.  Press the site of bleeding with a clean cloth for 10-20 minutes  Ice may be applied over the bleeding points.

Most accident can be prevented by alertness and common sense.  on the road, drivers should obey traffic rules and observe signals.  In the home on one Should Not Use tools or objects that don’t know how to handle.  Poisons and match – boxes should be stored safety out of the reach of small children.  Toys and other objects should not be left on stairs as they can cause fall resulting in serious injuries.
