Three determinants of healthy food healthy food 1- food composition 2- food’s vital energy 3- cosmic forces, food types and effects on mind
3
Relation Between Body and Mind
4
Our body is composed of countless cells The cells are the basic units which give form to the physical body.
5
Each cell performs different functions in the system skin cells
6
physical structure individual mind (low level of development) sense of self or “I” feeling, as they are alive Each cell has: Parts of the cell
7
Kinds of cells Cells are basically of two kinds: Protozoic cells Uni-cellular Less developed mind Metazoic cells Pluri-cellular More developed mind
8
The entire human structure can be regarded as one metazoic organism.
9
The human mind Is the collection of minds of both the protozoic and metazoic cells plus the central unit “I” feeling, or existence feeling, of the human entity. It is a collective mind, having a relationship with all parts.
10
The aura or glow of effulgence radiated from the human body is the collective effulgence of all its composite cells.
11
The aura changes accordingly with Changes in mental feelings can cause variations in the health of the human being. Mental feelings
12
1 st Factor of Healthy Food Food Composition
13
flesh cells fat bone cells bone marrow lymph blood cells shukra - nourishes brain cells, nerves and glands Our food transforms into plasma shukra (Sanskrit) - a vital fluid which has three stages: lymph, spermatozoa / ova and seminal fluid - purifies blood, maintains beauty and glory of body, enables proper secretion of hormones from glands
14
We are what we eat!
15
+ PREMATURE DEATH DEFECTIVE CELLS CANCER CELLS NOT GOOD QUALITY SUSTANCES CARCINOMA MALFUNTION OF ORGANS
16
2 nd Factor of Healthy Food Food and Vital Energy
17
Food provides the body with its requirements of vital energy sprout seed vital energy
18
Vital energy is transformed into Mechanic energy Kinetic energy Mental energy
19
Some foods are rich in vital energy Some foods are poor in vital energy
20
About mushrooms Mushroom lives on decayed matter Does not produce chlorophyll Low vital energy source
21
3 rd Factor of Healthy Food Cosmic Forces, Food Types and Effect on Mind
22
Mutative force Static force Sentient force
23
Sentient force This force brings the felling of oneness with the universe self-awareness love peace joy
24
Mutative force The force of change and activity restless nervous agitated
25
Static force The force of decay, inertia and death sleepy dullness listless lacking energy and initiative
26
Sentient foods nearly all fruits most vegetables beans and nuts grains milk and milk products moderate amounts of most herbs and spices
27
Mutative foods beverages with caffeine, such as coffee and tea carbonated drinks chocolate
28
Static foods meats eggs fish alcoholic drinks onion and garlic mushroom & other intoxixants cigarettes
29
Onion and garlic increase the acidity of the stomach Create much heat in the body -unbalance hormons secretions -agitate the mind - ulcers
30
Molecular expression spinach tomato lettuce
31
Molecular expression garlic wine onion
32
Example: blood pressure diseases All acidic foods should be rejected. Alkaline types of food are to be taken in increased quantity. As far as possible, foods such as rice, pulses and hard wheat varieties (durum) should be eaten in less quantity. Fruits, roots, and leafy vegetable soup should be taken instead.
