Early Life Reagan was born on October 8, 1818 in Sevier County, Tennessee. Siblings, Edwina Moss Nelms Reagan. Parents Were Timothy Richard and Elizabeth{Lusk} Reagan. He left Tennessee At the age of 19 and traveled to Texas and became a surveyor from 1839 to 1843 then farmed in Kaufma County til 1851.

Early Life (continued) In the time when he was surveyor he was also a private tutor to the children of John Marie Durst. He was a Politician, Lawyer, Surveyor, and a Senator. He studied Law on his own and licensed to practice in 1846. Opening an office in Buffalo.

During the Civil War President Jefferson Davis choose Reagan to lead the new Confederate States of America-Post Office Department. On May 9 near Abbeville, Georgia, Jefferson Davis, former governor of Texas, Francis R. Lubbock and Reagan were captured. The Confederate States lost and Reagan, Lubbock, and Jefferson were sent to Fort Warren.

After the Civil War Reagan continued to be a politician after the Civil War. On March 6, 1905 Reagan died of pneumonia. He was buried in Palestine.
