25 | Technology Advancement and Outreacheere.energy.gov Web Coordinator’s Meeting Survey Results We surveyed attendees of the monthly web coordinator’s meeting after the August, September and October 2010 meetings. 5 questions, all with freeform response field 0 questions were “required” 33 respondents total All EERE programs represented Best responded month: October, when we made a tweak to the survey process to afford complete anonymity.

26 | Technology Advancement and Outreacheere.energy.gov Web Coordinator’s Meeting Survey Results The questions: 1.In this month's web coordinators meeting, what was helpful for you and how you do your work at EERE? 2.What was not helpful? 3.Is there anything you did not learn today that you feel you should have? 4.What suggestions do you have for future topics for the web coordinators meeting? 5.What EERE area(s) do you represent?

27 | Technology Advancement and Outreacheere.energy.gov Web Coordinator’s Meeting Survey Results The breakdown of EERE programs represented: 5 Biomass 5 Buildings Technologies 3 Business Administration / PBA 5 Commercialization & Deployment 4 Education & Workforce Development 13 EERE Corporate 4 FEMP 3 Fuel Cell Technologies 3 Geothermal Technologies 7 Industrial Technologies 3 International Activities 3 Solar Energy Technologies 6 Vehicle Technologies 4 Weatherization & Intergovernmental 5 Wind & Water Power

28 | Technology Advancement and Outreacheere.energy.gov Web Coordinator’s Meeting Survey Results Key findings: Attendees feel that the “around the room” element is too long and cumbersome. The usability information presented in the August meeting got favorable response. There is interest in more information on the Plain Writing Act. There is continuing strong interest in using social media. It’s often hard for the folks on the phone to hear what’s being said – too much background noise.

29 | Technology Advancement and Outreacheere.energy.gov Web Coordinator’s Meeting Survey Results A few specific suggestions: “Have each program volunteer to do one presentation per year. The presentation could be 10-15 minutes and be about anything Web-related the program is working on (and might be able to be used by other programs).” “I suggest limiting the around the room/roll call. Also, perhaps these meetings could be held every 6-8 weeks, rather than every month.” “I think we should go back to 1 hour meetings.”
