5. Information about our college The economic development of our town requested the necessity of training people in this domain. Early data on economic education can be found in a catalogue of Slatina Gymnasium and in the Directory of 1901-1902, which mentions that there is "an economic class" In 1922, 1922, at the School Committee intervention and at the request of a few traders and industrialists and political heads Vasile and Alexandru Alimănăşteanu, the Ministry of Public Instruction, by the agreement 90-292 of October 7, approved the foundation of Elementary School of Commerce.

In 1936,the School becomes the Commercial High School, bearing the name of the great Romanian diplomat Titulescu. 7. In 1998, by associating the Administrative Economic School Group with the Light Industry School Group, under the order nr.3291 of the Ministry of National Education, it appears a new school the Economic Administrative and Services School Group.

8. I II In September 19, 2000, as an institution representative for our county and for the national education, the school group receives the name Economic College "Petre S. Aurelian". In conclusion, 2001 is the year of the achievement of an old ideal, that of the development of economic education, fought for several generations in time time.
