Sir Thomas Malory (ca.1410-1471)
2
Malory’s Works “Le Morte d’ Arthur”(1469) He created the most extensive work of English prose up to that time. He wrote the most complete account of the legends of King Arthur and his knights of the round table ever written. In 1451, he was arrested for attacking a religious house. He wrote it while in prison between 1469 and 1470.

His works (cont’d) Scholars are not certain of the identity of Malory. It is likely that the author was one Thomas Malory born into a wealthy family in Warwickshire, England. He died two years after he wrote the complete manuscript of Le Morte d’ Arthur in prison.
