We Tell God We Are Sorry for Our Sins Act of Contrition O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended you. I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. And I detest all my sins because of your just punishment, but most of all because they offend you my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. In choosing to do wrong and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love above all things.
