WHAT MAKES UP A DVD? ~ The DVD is made of a spiral groove read or written starting at the center. The form of the groove tells us what movie is playing. This is called the Media Identification Data, or MID. WHY WAS THE DVD INVENTED? ~ The DVD was invented for easier usage of recording and showing media. It was invented to hold more information than the VHS.

8. IS THERE A FUTURE FOR THESE MEDIA RECORDERS? Personally, I don’t think there is a future for the cassette and VHS. You don’t really see much now-a-days, except for films in science, history, and other subjects that require a lot of information. The DVD, however, has changed a lot since it first was invented. For example, we now have Blu-Ray disks that are supposedly better than the first DVDs. I really haven’t seen a movie on Blu-Ray but I’m guessing it’s the exact same. If it’s not, oh well. This is just my opinion. And everyone is entitled to their own. I don’t think anything is going to change within the next 10 years. THE END
