What is Fast Food ? Fast food is any food that is quick, convenient, and often inexpensive. Fast food is usually high in fat, calories, cholesterol, and sodium. Too much fast food can lead to health problems.

Health risks of fast food Health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes. Obesity People get addicted to fast food and stop eating healthy food. Bacteria in the food which lead to food poisoning.

Is some fast food healthier than others? If you are having fast food more than once a week, try to make healthier choices. Choose foods that are grilled instead of fried. Have low-fat salad dressings instead of the full-fat kind. Have salad instead of fries or chips. Use mustard or ketchup instead of mayonnaise.

Healthier choices - continued Order smaller portions. Choose water, low-fat milk instead of sodas or fizzy drinks. When ordering pizza, add veggies instead of meat, and get thin crust instead of deep crust. If fruits and veggies are available, try to add them to your meal.

Remember Try to balance fast food with other nutritious foods throughout the day. Make healthier choices whenever possible. There are many healthy food choices that are easily available, tasty, and don’t cost very much that can be eaten on the go.
