Tychicus – Encouraging and communicating
(Colossians 4:7-9) Tychicus will tell you (Colossian believers) all the news about me. He is a dear brother, a faithful minister … {9} He is coming with Onesimus, our faithful and dear brother, who is one of you (Colossians). They will tell you everything that is happening here. (Colossians 4:16) After this letter has been read to you, see that it is also read in the church of the Laodiceans and that you in turn read the letter from Laodicea.

Tychicus with Paul in later years
AD – Traveling with Paul AD 66 – Paul considered sending him to Crete to replace Titus, (Titus 3:12) As soon as I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, do your best to come to me at Nicopolis, because I have decided to winter there. AD 67 – Later he instead was sent to Ephesus – perhaps to replace Timothy and deliver 2 Timothy (2 Timothy 4:12) I sent Tychicus to Ephesus.

Faithful Servants (1 Corinthians 4:1-4) So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. {2} Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. {3} I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; …{4} It is the Lord who judges me.

Serving God – Joy and Rewards
(John 4:36) Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. (1 Corinthians 3:6-8) I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow….{8} The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor.
